Retargetting Affect

  • The retargetting affect, is a concept that I created to clearly demonstrate a customers interaction.

  • If a customer sees an ad for a product from your competition, then you show them an ad for the same product. With the same first 3 second in your ad.

  • The majority of customers will think you are the same company, and they will purchase from you.

  • The majority of customers need to see an ad a couple times before they make a purchase decision. This is why retargetting campaigns are so profitable.

  • By showing them the same product and the first 3 seconds of the same ad, your ads will appear like a retargetting ad from your competition.

  • Most customers won't register that your a completely different company, they will just see the same product and the similar ad.

  • Then remember they want the product and they will make the purchase.


Simplicity Is Key

  • When creating your first ads for testing a product, keeping things simple and using what is already working is so important.

  • This is for several reasons. You will be working with less variable when you use a proven ad and funnel, you will not be as attached to the ad and product you put so much time into. These are the two main reason as to why you should structure your ads the way i describe in the video.

  • Make sure you keep the first three seconds or the initial first clips from your competitions winning ad. If there is no competition, make sure you include a massive hook to draw the veiwer in at the beginning.

  • Make sure you layer little hooks throughout the entire video, to ensure the viewer keeps watching.


Call To Action

  • Make sure that at the end of your ad, you include a massive call to action. That clearly indicates to the customer, what you want them to do next.

  • You should always try to include your website link, or your website logo. This will create congruency, making the customer feel more comfortable when they arrive at a website that has the same logo as the ad.

  • You would be suprised how many ad are very misleading out there, so of course making thing very clear will make your customers more comfortable.

  • Ensure your call to action drives the customer to the next step of your funnel, which is your product page.

  • A great way of doing this, is by displaying a value proposition. Something like (50% OFF or FREE shipping)

  • Something that will push the customer to the next stage of the funnel, and provide even more value then just the product.
